Driver Vehicle Control and Data Interface

Interface Driver Terminal

  • The Interface Driver Terminal (IDT) is a mission computer for armoured vehicles, interfacing with the LPP VIBMS system.
  • It collects CAN bus data, including vehicle status and operational parameters, for real-time processing.
  • Data is transmitted to the driver’s tablet via Ethernet.
  • Supports video streaming from cameras to enhance driver situational awareness.
  • Part of the VIBMS system deployed in vehicles like AČR PANDUR II and T-72, alongside the Commander Driver Terminal and Diagnostic Unit.

Basic description

The Interface Driver Terminal (IDT) functions as a vehicle mission computer, seamlessly processing data from sensors and transmitting it to display units such as the LPP Display Driver Unit (DDU). Acting as a control board, the IDT interfaces between the LPP Vehicle Information Battle Management System (VIBMS) and the driver. It collects data from the CAN bus, processes it, and transmits the information to the driver’s tablet via Ethernet. Additionally, the IDT supports video streaming from reversing cameras, enhancing situational awareness.

LPP has integrated the Interface Driver Terminal into armoured vehicles like the AČR PANDUR II and T-72 through the LPP VIBMS platform. This robust integration ensures reliable data processing, vehicle control, and real-time communication.

Interface Driver Terminal is a part of complex VIBMS system and integrates with Commander Driver Terminal, Diagnostic Unit and Inertial Navigation Unit.
