LPP ARTS is a target acquisition system designed to support fire missions by integrating data from multiple sources, including the MSB-8 locator unit, ballistic data, and meteorological inputs. It provides artillery forward observers with interactive map layers, waypoints, and real-time target acquisition data for precise fire control. The system also displays friendly and enemy positions, target management tools, and pre-set weapon and ammunition data, including ballistic tables, ensuring efficient mission execution.
Through its integration with the multi-sensor optoelectronic units, ARTS enables advanced surveillance and target acquisition by displaying shooter and target positions on an intuitive graphical interface. Users can analyze real-time or recorded data for hit evaluation and waypoint mapping. Additionally, the system automatically calculates fire corrections based on changing battlefield conditions, significantly improving accuracy and overall operational effectiveness.
As part of a broader C4ISR system, LPP ARTS integrates with LPP Battle Management System (VIBMS) and LPP Blue Force Tracker (BFT), enhancing situational awareness and operational coordination.
